About this module

Power and privilege can feel like big, complicated topics, but understanding them is key to impacting real change in our communities.

This workshop is a chance to break it all down and explore how we can challenge harmful norms, foster accountability, and build healthier, more respectful environments.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We’ll take a closer look at something most young men experience daily - banter. It’s a huge part of Australian culture, but when does it cross the line?

Through discussions and activities, participants will explore the impacts of banter, learn how to identify when it goes too far, and practise how to speak up in those moments.

We’ll also reflect on the “armour” people use as a defence mechanism, what lies beneath it, and why recognising and respecting boundaries is so important. By the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with tools to navigate these tricky dynamics with confidence and care.
