Education

Not enough young men get to see what a man doing emotion looks like. Many of their male role models have grown up with old school stereotypes that have favoured stoicism and keeping it all together over showing a healthy range of emotion with the ability to take off the mask and shed a tear when needed.

97% of young men said they would recommend Tomorrow Man to their mates

How We Do it

Through experiential facilitation we create a safe space for young men to share what’s going on for them and build tighter relationships within their own cohort. Our team are all relatable, charismatic examples of what men can be when they choose not to be defined by old school stereotypes and are able to build rapport with teenagers fast, leaving lots of time for real and honest conversation amongst participants.

Suggested workshop Sequencing

Our programs are designed to work best when they work together. By weaving together workshops for students, teachers and parents — and supporting these with reflective online tasks — we create a shared language and stronger outcomes across the whole school community.

The core school program, Unpacking Her Code, builds progressively across four modules, each deepened by Integration Tasks that give students time and space to reflect. Complementary workshops like Yr 9 Connection Code, Middle Ground, and tailored sessions for teachers and parents ensure that everyone around the student is empowered to show up, speak up, and grow together.

“I realised some of my friends were too scared to show their emotions around me and our other mates, so I’ll make an effort to check up on them and support them through their tough times.”

Let's change the stats

Tomorrow Man’s workshops deconstruct outdated masculine stereotypes and guide young men in creating their own healthier versions of masculinity.

70% of men say that they’re there for their mates. However 48% of men feel that they could not talk to their mate if they were struggling

Men of all ages are more likely to smoke, drink alcohol at risky levels, be overweight, and have a poor diet, compared to women

Boys are more likely than girls to be diagnosed with behavioural disorders (ADHD, ODD & CD)

To build a better tomorrow, we need to start having the important conversations that many of us struggle to start.

What teachers are saying

I have never had such a response from a presentation and I actually feel quite emotional writing this email. I had boys come up and thank me for organising and over 15 parent emails with such positive feedback. Teachers around the school have talked about the buzz it’s created and it’s now up to us to follow through and continue the conversation.”

— Teacher, Margaret River HS

"These workshops have been an outstanding success in previous years and all students have found them to be engaging and relevant. All staff who have attended have been impressed by the content and presentation standard of the sessions."
